Childcare
This part time Childcare course is a modular course to facilitate students to acquire the knowledge, skills and understanding necessary to pursue a career in Childcare.
The modules will be offered on Wednesday.

- Early Childhood Education
- Working in Childcare
- Caring for Children
- Arts/Crafts
Certification
- FETAC (Further Education & Training Awards Council) Level 5 Component Certificate after one year
- FETAC Level 5 Certification in Childcare (DCHSC) after two years
Further Progression
- A learner with a full FETAC Level 5 award may progress through the FETAC Higher Education Links Scheme to Higher Education Institutes (HEI’s).
- Mature students (over 23 years of age) may apply to relevant HEI’s.

- Mature students (over 18s)
- Formal qualifications not required
- Interview for students without experience in childcare
