New Horizons in Education Stage 1
This New Horizons in Education Stage 1 course facilitates adults to return to education in a supportive flexible environment. It provides learns with the opportunity to achieve a FETAC (Further Education & Training Awards Council) Level 3 award. It is a first step on the FETAC ladder of qualifications.
It is designed to provide access to learners to other qualifications in the National Framework of Qualifications. The emphasis is on active participation in the learning process. Self esteem building and the acquisition of transferrable skills are an integral part of the course.
The course will take place each Tuesday and Wednesday from 10am to 2pm.

Further Progression
- Learners may progress from this course to New Horizons in Educations Stage 2.
- Learners may combine six of the above modules (including 3 core modules) with one FETAC Level 4 module or four of the above modules with two FETAC Level 4 modules to achieve a full Level 3 award.
- Students may progress to FETAC level 4 and then to FETAC level 5.
